Felt like I needed a break from the recent commission work, needed an injection of something dark and gritty into my arty veins, so I started on this last night. I am actually really pleased with how quickly this came together, the whole thing only took me about three to four hours, which is a lot quicker than what I use to paint. The fact it's in black and white helps with this but the main reason is that I am beginning to get a better understanding of form and value. I have a ton more commission work to do but I am hopefully going to try and sneak in another dark eldar painting over the next week because who doesn't love evil, elven space pirates? Till next time.
